Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, a huge Tom Brady fan, has been sharing his thoughts on the Patriots quarterback’s new commercial.
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson ‘loves everything’ about Tom Brady’s new commercial.
The new Subway advertisement starring Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady debuted during the Buccaneers’ Week 1 game against the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday. According to Ryan Gaydos of Fox Business, Brady’s advertisement first seemed to be a cologne ad, but it became clear that it was for Subway when the spray bottle spells out the word “bready.” Brady, 44, shared the advertisement along with an explanation of his new Subway collaboration on his Instagram account.
The seven-time Super Bowl winner acknowledged in the advertisement that he doesn’t eat much bread.
“But, at the end of the day, I know brilliance when I see it,” Brady added, adding that he joined in the fun when Subway informed him of all the new menu items that were going to be introduced. “I couldn’t help myself from joining in the fun. He replied, “Bready…. It’s prohibited.” Dwayne Johnson, also known as “The Rock,” was one among many who responded to Brady’s tweet. “Love everything about this,” remarked “The Rock” in his response. It’s fantastic. As the Facebook group “Tom Brady Fanatics” put it, “brilliant.”
The contents of Prescott’s post-game communication to Brady were disclosed.
The Buccaneers beat the Cowboys 31-29 at Raymond James Stadium to begin their Super Bowl championship defense. Brady was in fine form, throwing for 379 yards and four touchdowns with two interceptions, and leading the game-winning drive with 1:22 remaining, which was completed by a Ryan Succop field goal.
With the victory, Brady improved to 6-0 versus the Cowboys in his career. Following 11 months of inactivity due to ankle surgery, Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott put in a strong performance, completing 42 of 58 passes for 403 yards and three touchdowns with an interception. According to Luke Easterling of USA Today, Prescott had a message for Brady during their post-game discussion.
Prescott reportedly told Brady, “We’ll see y’all again,” perhaps alluding to a playoff rematch, according to Easterling.
Ronald Jones’ ‘benching’ is explained by Arians.
Buccaneers running back Ronald Jones lost a fumble on their sixth offensive snap against the Cowboys and didn’t play again for the remainder of the game. When asked why Jones did not return to the game, Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians replied.
According to Josh Alper of NBC Sports, Arians stated, “He battled psychologically to get over that.” Jones rushed for 13 yards on four attempts to end the game. With Jones on the sideline, the Buccaneers’ rushing attack was led by Leonard Fournette, who ran the ball nine times for 32 yards and caught five receptions for 27 yards. Jones tweeted on Saturday, “I’m always ready when my number is called… just call me.”

The Buccaneers will face the Atlanta Falcons in Week 2 at Raymond James Stadium, and the running back position will be fascinating to watch. The Buccaneers also have Giovani Bernard, a veteran rusher who was signed to a one-year contract in the summer.
