Carmelo Anthony is a wonderful scorer, but he’s a terrible rebounder. Carmelo has been a top scorer throughout his career, but he’s been a bottom-5 rebounder for years. That’s about to change if the Bulls can get a big man with range and a sharp outside shooting touch.
The Chicago Bulls have reportedly been in trade talks about a deal for … Coby White, per The Athletic’s Zach Lowe.
The Bulls are re-arranging their rotation for the final stretch of the season, and they are considering trading for a sixth-man who can function as a role player off the bench. The Bulls are reportedly considering trading for Oklahoma City Thunder swingman Coby White, according to The Athletic’s Sam Amick. The 24-year-old White is averaging 11.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game. He also averages 1.7 steals, 1.8 assists and 0.6 blocks per game. White has struggled to stay on the floor this season, as he has played just 12 games. He has played in just 15 games this season.

Could the Chicago Bulls benefit from adding another top scorer to their roster?
After signing Stanley Johnson and Alize Johnson on Monday, the Bulls’ roster for 2023-22 seems to be set. We don’t know whether Arturas Karnisovas and Marc Eversley have any further transactions planned.
With the exception of Zach LaVine, Nikola Vucevic, Patrick Williams, Troy Brown Jr., Javonte Green, and Coby White, the Bulls virtually flipped their entire roster. The first three aren’t going anywhere, but the final three might be included in a trade.
White would be the most intriguing player to dangle, and at least one writer can see the “playoff-hungry Bulls” pursuing Jordan Clarkson, the reigning NBA Sixth Man of the Year and a member of the Utah Jazz.
Is Jordan Clarkson a better player for the Bulls than Coby White?
Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report suggested the Bulls trade for Clarkson. He expressed himself as follows:
Utah’s finances are in such excellent condition that Jordan Clarkson decides to visit the state the summer after winning Sixth Man of the Year. He uses a neon-green light and may heat up quickly, like the most of the awardees. Having said that, he isn’t very efficient, doesn’t generate many opportunities for others, and has some defensive flaws. That isn’t enough to convince the Jazz to trade him, but if it were, they could sell him to the Bulls, who are desperate for a playoff spot. His immediate impact may persuade Chicago to deal with Coby White, Troy Brown Jr., and some draft picks. White could do a good job of duplicating Clarkson’s contributions and provide Utah with a succession plan after Conley, while Brown and any draft choices would help keep the Salt Lake City cupboards filled.
That doesn’t seem like a transaction that benefits the Bulls in any way. White averaged 15.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 4.8 assists a game last season, while hitting just under 42% of his field goals and 36% of his threes. He also makes 90% of his free throws.
Clarkson’s statistics were somewhat better: 18.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists on 42.5 percent shooting from the field, just under 35 percent from three, and just under 90 percent from the line.
Clarkson is also eight years older and has a far more costly deal.
Coby White’s name has long been associated with trade speculation.
Throughout the summer, White’s name has been floated as a possible trade component.
NBA Analysis’ Kenneth Teape speculated that the Bulls could trade White to the Miami Heat.
Despite the Bulls’ front staff pulling off a slew of trades, White has yet to be released–at least not yet. On Tuesday, the Bulls shared a photo of White and Patrick Williams on social media. Both athletes seemed slim and in great condition, despite the fact that training camp doesn’t start for another three weeks.
White has a new haircut, but it seems that he will be lengthening it during the winter. The Bulls’ second unit isn’t known for its offensive prowess. For that team, White’s ability to get baskets will be crucial.
Clarkson may be a little more successful, but he also comes with a considerably higher price tag and greater tire wear. The value for that deal doesn’t seem to be there, and considering White’s age (21), proven performance over the last two years, and work ethic, the front office should give him an opportunity to make an impact as a sixth man.

Bulls forward Coby White looked like he was playing like a super sixth-man the other night in Denver. The former Bull averaged 19 points and 6.5 rebounds in the last month. However, the Bulls traded White to the Wizards in a three team deal that sent Otto Porter to Denver and Kyle Korver to Boston..
